I write SFF and mainstream fiction. I've won about 16 awards including the Clarke twice and a Nebula award for short fiction. I wrote a number of novels and stories about Cambodia. This year I won the BSFA for non fiction for 100 AFRICAN WRITERS OF SFF, interviews with writers in six African countries published on STRANGE HORIZONS. I helped set up the African Speculative Fiction Society and the Nommo Awards for Speculative Fiction by Africans. I was host of the Hugo awards back in 2015.
