Anna Smith Spark's novel The Court of Broken Knives is published by HarperVoyager (UK) and Orbit (US). It is the first volume in the major new epic fantasy series Empires of Dust. Anna has a BA in Classical History, an MA in Cultural and Social History and a PhD in English Literature. She has worked as both a petty bureaucrat and a fetish model, and has an obsession with 2nd edition AD&D. She can often be seen at sff events wearing very silly shoes.
