Sybille Frank, Prof. Dr. phil., is Junior Professor for Urban and Regional Sociology at the Institute for Sociology, Technical University Berlin. Birmingham, Dortmund, Frankfurt, Glasgow, ed., with Petra Gehring, Julika Griem and Michael Haus), Frankfurt /New York: Campus 2014. Sybille‘s dissertation on Berlin’s Checkpoint Charlie as an international heritage site won the interdisciplinary prize “Humanities International” in 2012. It will be published in English under the title “Wall Memorials and Heritage” in the Routledge Studies in Heritage series in 2016.
