Dr. Ferworn is a Professor of Computer Science at Ryerson University. He serves as the Graduate Program Director of the Master of Digital Media program and is the Academic Coordinator for Ryerson’s G. Raymond Chang School of Continuing Education Certificate Program in Disaster and Emergency Management. His research focuses on Computational Public Safety and over the past 10 yrs, He has worked on supporting response to emergencies and disasters. Working extensively with Search and Rescue teams, his goal is to meet the needs of emergency First Responders dealing with difficult situations.
