In the 1950's NASA studied the concept of thermonuclear powered spacecraft called Project Orion. It was estimated that a battleship-sized spacecraft could be routinely accelerated to 1000 kM/second.The FIRST part of this panel will be spent explaining how to determine locations of the planets on a given date and how to calculate travel times between them. Also, calculating orbital velocities and rotation rates for space stations
