Victor & Penny are Jeff Freling and Erin McGrane. Formally trained at Berklee School of Music (Boston) and the Conservatory of Music (Kansas City), Mr. Freling participated in the international program, The Acoustic Guitar Project in 2014 and is an accomplished composer, arranger, and outstanding instrumentalist. He was an onstage musician with Blue Man Group Chicago from 2001-2012. Ms. McGrane is an ArtsKC Fund Inspiration Grant recipient and a Mid-America Arts Alliance Professional Development Grant recipient as well as a fellow of the ArtistINC program for which she currently serves as a peer facilitator and a workshop presenter. She appeared alongside George Clooney in the 2009 Oscar nominated film “Up In The Air”. Victor & Penny are six-time official showcase artists of the prestigious Folk Alliance International Conference, and showcased at the Nordic Exchange in Gothenburg Sweden in 2018. In 2017, they co-founded the Wonderstruck Academy, a multi-day, immersive music education retreat. They regularly travel the US, giving workshops, presentations, and motivational talks to musicians and entrepreneurs. Their tour schedule has seen them make over 1,000 personal appearances and travel more than 250,000 miles in the last seven years.
