
Bernice is a registered Social Worker who is presently working as Director of Operations at Sage Seniors Association with prior experience working as a Director of a women’s shelter. During Bernice’s 18 years at Sage she has been instrumental in the development and implementation of many programs including the Sage Seniors Safe House. She is presently involved on several committees in Edmonton and has also worked on committees on a National level. Presently she is involved on a National committee doing a review of material available on Sexual Abuse of Older Women. In her role Bernice works diligently on many senior’s issues working to change systems that create barriers. Her true passion, though, lies in working on issues of abuse.
