- Anita’s background is with the Canadian Armed Forces where she served as an Army Medic for 10 years. She has also toured in Bosnia in 1994.
- 18 ½ year member with the Edmonton Police Service. Worked several years in both Downtown and Northeast Division Patrol, 2 years in Detention Management Unit, 5 ½ years as a School Resource Officer, and 3 ½ years with the PACT Unit (Police and Crisis Team / Mobile Mental Health)
- Throughout her career, Anita worked numerous secondments including areas such as Domestic Violence and the Missing Person’s Unit
- After leaving the PACT Unit in May of 2016, she began working with the Seniors Protection Partnership
