Theme:
Grades 6-8
What:
Session
When:
9:30 AM, Friday 8 Feb 2019 (1 hour 30 minutes)
How:
Are you interested in affordable, hands-on, curricular-connected space activities? Please join us for this workshop. Some of the activities done in last year's workshop will be repeated, such as understanding the comparative scale of planets in our solar system, modelling the phases of the moon to build understanding, and an activity to answer the question, "Can a scaled model of the Milky Way Galaxy fit in my classroom?". Last year we ended with a balsa wood space plane. For our 2019 workshop, we are starting with the balsa-wood glider modeled after the Prandt-m Mars Airplane being proposed by NASA Armstrong. Two or three door prizes will be available.
