Scott Young is a science communicator, amateur astronomer, and father of two awesome daughters based in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada. He became an astronomer at the age of 8 when a total solar eclipse passed through his hometown. Scott has worked in the planetarium and science education fields since 1990, creating and delivering planetarium shows for mobile and permenant domes and space-related science exhibits for science museums.As an amateur astronomer he has championed the inspirational value of a first view through a telescope. In his spare time he builds scale models of historical spacecraft, produces astronomy podcasts, freelances for a number of game-based publications and companies, and plays drums in a couple of bands.
