Beverly King Miller is Assistant Professor of Science Education in the College of Education at Prairie View A&M University. Her scholarship focus includes the persistence of people of African descent and Latinx heritage in STEM (science, technology, engineering and mathematics) training and careers. Dr. Miller’s global work in STEM reaches underserved communities in the United States, South Africa and Panama. Through research, teaching, motivational speaking and a recent book, Unsung Heroes of STEM and Other Careers, she continues to work to increase access to STEM for underrepresented students.
