The internet has brought a decreased need to travel to a physical place to find facts or even fiction. Freed from these housekeeping tasks, what amazing roles can libraries play in the future? Community centres, our last defence against capitalism, and places of joy and learning? The question is not ‘will libraries survive?’ but ‘what will they be at the vanguard of?’
