The possibility of flight on mars is something that is currently being investigated. This presentation will discuss these investigations that have happened and are currently happening. This is a project that is challenging due to the atmospheric pressure on the planet.  It shall further explain the difficulties currently facing fixed wing aircraft.

An investigation into the design of rotorcraft for low density, low pressure ore extra-terrestrial application is intended to continue and progress the work undertaken on the development of low pressure rotorcraft relating to Mars. This project has looked the of how different aerofoils affect the lifting characteristics of the aircraft.
