The expectation is that we consume the canon, then dive into the fan creations. Except, sometimes, we slide sideways into canon through fic or vids. The panel will discuss those stories, the ones that got them hooked on new canon. Why are some fan stories so compelling? How do recs and crossovers play in to this process?
