Bill Higgins works at Fermilab as a radiation safety physicist. His interests include SF and fantasy literature (of course), accelerator physics, astronomy, planetary exploration, spaceflight,  history of science and technology, fan history, running SF con programming, popularization of science, "lost futures" (where did the flying cars go?), and the culture of techies.  Bill has contributed chapters to books about the history of the interaction between science and science fiction. As a volunteer in NASA's Solar System Ambassador program, he frequently lectures about spaceflight. He plays the baritone ukulele, not well, but with enthusiasm.
