Dina Krause attended her first con in 1984. She worked her first con in 1985 and has not yet stopped.

Her first WorldCon was in 1988 (also her honeymoon – They came early to New Orleans, because she was working it.).

Some positions she held include being the first to chair both of the 2 major Chicago conventions, Windycon and Capricon.  Most of the positions she held were hotel related, including being Division Head for Hotel at 3 WorldCons and 1 NASFiC. Other positions, at both local and WorldCon level include – Green Room, Guest Liaison, Special Events, Registration, Info Desk, and many many more, as well as many bid positions on WorldCon committees.

Real life - she ran bookstores. Opened/Closed/Hired/Fired and many author signings, and presentations. She ran Harry Potter events, and others all over the country. She is also a published book reviewer.

Currently she is a Docent at the Illinois Holocaust Museum and Education Center, in Skokie, IL. There she leads tours of students of all ages, the blind, the military, the Chicago police, VIP’s (big donors) as well as train other docents. She did highly praised talks on ‘Women in the Holocaust-Victims and Perpetrators’ and has been asked to write a book about the subject, which she has started. She has taken a few classes in American Sign Language, with the goal to help the deaf thru a tour of the Museum.

Her hobbies include talking, reading, travel, Maj Jong and more Maj Jong, and excitedly waiting for her first grandchild, a boy, – in Feb. 2019.
