Arlin Robins trained at the Art Institute of Chicago, where she focused on "functional sculpture", building musical instruments, creating jewelry and wearable art. The 7 years' experience also included printmaking, photography, paint in oils and acrylics, history of art, history of costume, fabric design, fine metals casting and figure drawing. Practically living under one of the finest art collections in this country, she had the freedom to spend hours and hours with some of the most inspiring works on this continent. It shaped Arlin's classical preferences in representational art.
Over the last 40 years, Arlin has produced art in a range of media that includes metals as small as the carousel replica charms and as large as a life-size woman, simple animations for a number of game platforms ('90's), oil, acrylic and gauche paintings, pewter & crystal miniature fantasy pieces for collectors, stringed instruments, mosaics, fused glass, and beadwork.
Arlin also designed & built a house with her husband, Michael Jhon.
