A first generation Mexican-American, Marcela Davison Avilés is an author and founder of The Chapultepec Group, an independent consulting and production company serving the arts and entertainment, non-profit, and selected consumer industry sectors.  She is also the Director of Arts and Humanities Programs for the FDR Foundation at Harvard, a service she provides as part of her pro bono consulting practice, and the co-founder of Camino Arts, an international Latino arts initiative.  TCG provides C-suite services, production capacity, and cultural insights for and about the Hispanic/Latino market.  Recent work includes serving as the Lead Consultant for Pixar's Academy Award®-winning feature, Coco, and for Disney Channel's tent-pole animated television program, Elena of Avalor.


Marcela also writes Op-Ed essays and serves as a guest contributor and contributing writer for outlets including CNN, the San Francisco Chronicle, San Jose Mercury-News, HIP Latina and ModernLatina.com.  She has a BA in Fine Arts from Harvard College, and a JD from Stanford Law School.
