Gerardo Horacio Porcayo has his masters degree in Iberoamerican Literature with a thesis in creative literature. He taught creative writing (in workshop format and in classic format) for sixteen years at the Universidad Iberoamericana Puebla. Gerardo has been a professional writer since 1991 and has published in multiple genres, including cyberpunk, space opera, vampires, dark fantasy, and mainstream-experimental works. He has also been published in several anthologies, both SF and not. He has published several fanzines (Prolepsis and Azoth) in paper, and since 1992, an electronic fanzine, "La Langosta Se Ha Posado" (The Grasshopper Lies Heavy) which evolved into a blogzine. He is interested in comics, cinematography (mainly in the fantastic/crime genre), and considers himself a bit of a gamer.
