Benjamin Eldon Stevens is a professor in classics at Trinity University in San Antonio, TX. He is the author of Silence in Catullus (Wisconsin, 2013) and co-editor, with Brett M. Rogers, of two volumes on Classical Traditions in Science Fiction and in Modern Fantasy (2015 and 2017), both published with Oxford University Press. Together with Rogers and Jesse Weiner, he is co-editor of Frankenstein and Its Classics, due out summer 2018 with Bloomsbury Press. He has also published numerous articles, including essays on classical receptions in Jesmyn Ward, A. S. Byatt, and Dante. He is also a translator of contemporary Spanish poetry.
