Yilun Fan is a SF researcher, translator and editor. Having lived in mainland China, Hong Kong and United States, she is particularly interested in multicultural experience. She wrote the column “Chronicles of a SF Apprentice” for Science Fiction World magazine to share her experience as the first Chinese student of the " Speculative Fiction and Cultures of Science" graduate program at University of California, Riverside. As a researcher and translator, she co-translated The Concept of Utopia to Chinese and dedicated to introducing Latin American science fiction to China. She also writes stories during her free time. Her work "Speechless Love" has been translated into English and Italian, and will be included in the IBDP textbook by Oxford University Press. She is now a foreign literature editor for Eight Light Minutes Culture Communications Co.,Ltd, a startup sci-fi cultural company based in Chengdu, China.
