Launch Complex 34: A Legacy Tour Experience
January 27, 2024, 2:00 PM - January 27, 2024, 7:30 PM EST
Join The Astronauts Memorial Foundation team for a guided historical tour and memorial ceremony. During this event, guests will enjoy unparalleled access to Launch Complex 34 (LC-34) while embarking on a guided journey through time, exploring the historic launch site along the Cape Canaveral coast. With each step, guests will uncover the stories of the Apollo One crew and learn what their legacy has meant to the United States space program.
This once in a lifetime experience will lead up to the annual Apollo 1 Memorial Ceremony, honoring the memories of NASA Astronauts Virgil “Gus” Grissom, Edward H. White II, and Roger B. Chaffee who tragically perished when a fire started inside their capsule during a pre-flight test on January 27, 1967.
The Astronauts Memorial Foundation is honored to offer this entire legacy tour experience complimentary to all invited guests and grateful for the opportunity to partner with the United States Space Force to share the historical significance of LC-34 in such a meaningful way. The mission of The Astronauts Memorial Foundation is to honor and memorialize those astronauts who have sacrificed their lives for the advancement of human spaceflight and inspire future generations of space explorers.
