Benjamin C. Kinney is a neuroscientist, science fiction & fantasy writer, and five-time Hugo Award finalist. By day he leads a rehabilitation neuroscience laboratory, but he still somehow finds time to be a writer, cat-spoiler, spouse, and father. He serves as Assistant Editor of the science fiction magazine Escape Pod from 2017-2023. His short stories have appeared in dozens of major science fiction and fantasy magazines including Analog Science Fiction & Fact, Sunday Morning Transport, Strange Horizons, and many more. He is represented by Marisa Cleveland of the Seymour Agency.
