Neko Pilarcik-Tellez is a professional compositor and 2d animator working in film and TV. Her credits include "Hit Monkey", "Harold and the Purple Crayon", "City Island", "Teenage Euthanasia", and "Five Nights at Freddy's: Sister Location" (among others). Additionally, Neko directed the animated short, "The Pope’s Dog" which screened at U.S. and international festivals including SIGGRAPH-Asia, The St. Louis International Film Festival, Austin Film Festival, and was nominated for a College Television Award. She was Lead Compositor on "Chelita, Como me Duele Quererte" which is beginning its festival run now. Prior to working in animation full-time Neko was a Professor of Graphic Communications at St. Louis Community College - Florissant Valley. Currently, Neko is working on her MFA thesis at SCAD where she’s the developing a toolset to allow compositors to create volumetric cel shading on 2D animation, making the process more efficient and allowing animators more time to focus on crafting performances. She’s also in production on her latest film, a hybrid 2d/ pixel art/ live action film called "Pixipals".
