Rich Horton is a Software Engineer working for a major aerospace corporation in St. Louis. He is a longtime columnist writing about short fiction for Locus, and he also writes about old SF for Black Gate, and blogs about all sorts of books at Strange at Ecbatan (rrhorton.blogspot.com). He has been the editor of The Year's Best Science Fiction and Fantasy for Prime Books since 2006, as well as several other anthologies. He is the Reprint Editor at Lightspeed, for which he has shared two Hugo Awards, and he won the 2020 Mary Kay Bray Award for Best Essay to appear in the SFRA Review.
