Marella is a native St. Louisan who has been a member of the Alternate Historians writers group since 1991. She is currently writing an actual alternate history series for Ring of Fire Press. The first two novels were Perdition and Purgatory. The third novel, Paradise, has yet to be released. Her novels Sky Knife and Serpent & Storm were published by Tor. She has had short stories in Sword & Sorceress XIII and XXXIII, several Darkover anthologies, and Lace and Blade IV and V. She sits on the board of a local cemetery, volunteers at Cahokia Mounds State Historic Site, and watches found footage horror movies with guilty pleasure.
