Alex Jose De Almeida
Ph.D. Candidate in Administration at PUC Minas (Brazil)
I am currently a Ph.D. candidate in the Postgraduate Program in Administration at PUC Minas, specializing in the research line of People, Work, and Society. I hold degrees in Biological Sciences and Business Administration, along with a master's degree in the environmental field. Additionally, I have completed MBAs in Project Management, Strategic Business Management, and People Development.
As an associated researcher at the Research Center on Ethics and Social Management (NUPEGS), my work is dedicated to advancing knowledge in critical areas, particularly focusing on the Local Governance created after the Brumadinho mining disaster in 2019 to manage the repair and restoration of the affected territory.
With over 16 years of professional experience, I have coordinated and executed socio-environmental consulting projects across Brazil, with a strong emphasis on environment, sustainability, and health. My commitment to respecting social issues and promoting sustainable development has guided my participation in approximately 300 projects in various capacities as both a biologist and an administrator.
In addition to my professional work, I have published articles based on my scientific research and possess extensive experience in teaching, conducting seminars, and presenting at conferences. I have also actively participated in public hearings and served as a peer reviewer for journals and scientific events. These experiences have enriched my understanding and ability to contribute to the field.
