Welcome/Tawow

I currently dwell in Treaty Six territory and the Metis homeland in the small and culturally diverse city of Saskatoon. I work for the University of Alberta in ᐊᒥᐢᑿᒌᐚᐢᑲᐦᐃᑲᐣ (Amiskwacîwâskahikan), part of Treaty Six Territory & Métis Nation of Alberta Region 4 or Turtle Island. I have had license plates from eight colonial jurisdictions from within the body of Turtle Island. Seven of eight are in different bioregions according to the Decolonial Atlas https://decolonialatlas.files.wordpress.com/2017/10/bioregions-of-north-america1.png. I am committed to deepening my knowledge of the Indigenous peoples and lands who have been in these places long before the arrivals of my ancestors. I am more committed to taking Reconcili-Actions, small though they may be, especially in supporting Indigenous students, colleagues, and research.

My research interests have focused on social evaluations of organizations, especially legitimacy and reputation, the causes and consequences of each, and indigenization and decolonization in business schools. My theoretical interests have included agenda-setting, institutional (in both organizational sociology and international business), media effects, stakeholder, strategic balance, and strategic choice theories.  For my details about my research and teaching, go to my website linked here and thence to my CV.

My personal interests include baking artisan bread and pizza, walking in nature, raising three children, and reducing my carbon footprint. My partner and I have been a one car family since moving in together in 2010.

Titre: Legacies of Colonialism in Management Learning and EducationRésumé: Le colonialisme jette une longue ombre sur la pensée managériale.
