
I have a Ph.D. in Natural Resources and Environmental Studies (NRES) from the University of Northern British Columbia (UNBC), focusing on Accounting, Finance, and Environmental Sustainability. I also hold an MSc in Business Administration from UNBC, specializing in Accounting, and a Bachelor of Education in Mathematics from the University of Jammu in India. Additionally, I have an M.Com in Finance and Taxation from Punjabi University in India.
I work part-time as a business faculty member at the Guru Nanak Institute of Global Studies, College of New Caledonia (CNC), and as a sessional instructor at UNBC in Canada. My previous roles include sessional instructor, lecturer, teaching assistant, research assistant, student assistant, and school teacher. I am also a certified advocate for the implementation of the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals from UNBC.
My research interests include Carbon Accounting, Voluntary Carbon Disclosures, Corporate Environmental Sustainability, Environmental and Business Sustainability, GHG disclosures in Financial Statements, Sustainability Standards, ESG Reporting, Earnings Management, Accounting Quality, Audit Reports, and Process Costing Models. I have several published papers in journals and conference proceedings and have presented at conferences such as the Administrative Sciences Association of Canada (ASAC), UNBC Research Week, and World Ph.D. Sustainability Students Summit.
