Interpretive Simulations has published simulations for business school classes since 1986 and through those years, we’ve come to see a number of tried and true practices for using simulations in business classes. Director of Marketing, Tim Sams, will not only cover some solid take-away ideas for using simulations, but will hopefully inspire you with examples of how our simulations have been used most effectively over the years.
You are invited to a virtual meet and greet with Deborah Hurst, Dean of the Faculty of Business at Athabasca University. Dean Hurst is keen to meet with PhD students and recent graduates.

We live in a world that emphasize the rational and the objective. We cling dearly to objective facts, rigorous thought and rational decisions. In doing so, we risk losing sight of the internal world and our emotional and intuitive aspects. Understanding our “inner theatre” is essential, but also an uphill challenge, fraught with difficulties and anxieties. In this conversation, Manfred F. R. Kets de Vries explores the essential need to build self-understanding and the difficulty in doing so.
During 2020, the pandemic revealed that topics like care, gender, and vulnerable populations should be addressed seriously. Feminist economists see an opportunity to restructure the economy based on the idea of “care” and not on “profit”.
