Hey everyone
This is Sonia Mehrotra from Welingkars, India. I head the Centre of Excellence for Case Development at Welingkars. My teaching philosophy and research interest are deep-rooted in my 23 years of industrial and academic experience. I spent the early 15 years of my professional career in the petroleum industry as a process design engineer. Later, I shifted gears to academics but I continue to maintain my corporate connect through the case study development work. My formal education includes a Doctorate in Management, M.Phil. in Management, an MBA in HR-Marketing, and B.E. in Chemical Engineering.
I was a Linneaus Palme scholar in 2017. I am also a certified RPL trainer from Hobart Technology, Australia.
I am an enthusiastic case writer with numerous authored/co-authored publications to my credit. I like using the cases to build on inductive cased based qualitative research studies.
My research areas of interest are Entrepreneurship and Strategy, Social enterprises and sustainability, Business models. I am looking for a collaborative opportunity with my international colleagues on a qualitative research-based study that is at the intersection of women-led social ventures and innovative business models. India has very interesting ventures in emerging markets and it would be good to map them as a comparative study with similar ventures from International geographies. As researchers, we can make a contribution by building knowledge that sensitizes future generations on such topics and in the process provide global visibility to such social enterprises.
I will consider myself successful if I could walk my last mile with a smile on my lips and a song in my heart.
