A long-time fan and filker, Jim has been a regular at the monthly shanty session at the San Francisco National Maritime Museum (first Saturday of every month!) for over 20 years. At ConFrancisco in 1993, he wandered into a filk room, and they haven't been able to get rid of him since. Now singing with the mostly-acapella men's group Brass Farthing, he has a wide ranging repertoire and will sing with little provocation.
