A native of Los Angeles, Rabbi Dubowe was ordained by Hebrew Union College- Jewish Institute of Religion, Cincinnati, Ohio. She holds a B.A in Jewish Studies from the American Jewish University formerly known as the University of Judaism and an M.A. in Hebrew Letters from HUC. Rabbi Dubowe has served several synagogues including Thousand Oaks, CA, Hollywood, CA and in New Brunswick, New Jersey. She is currently serving as the rabbi for the Moses Montefiore Congregation in Bloomington, Illinois.

Besides serving the rabbinate full-time, Rabbi Dubowe offers her time to the greater Jewish Deaf Community. This community has a special place in Rabbi Dubowe’s life as she is the first female Deaf Rabbi ordained in the world. In addition, she has been a Scholar in Residence at Gallaudet University, Washington, DC, Congregation Emanu- El, San Francisco and at Congregation Rodeph Shalom, NYC. Rabbi Dubowe has spoken at numerous synagogues throughout the country, written various articles and led webinars about the importance of inclusion within the Jewish community.
