Rebecca Stapel-Wax has worked with non-profits throughout her career. Rebecca, along with many volunteers, has trained thousands of youth, educators, parents, clergy, and advocates to build LGBTQ inclusive communities including within family life, the work place, and congregations. She has built curricula for rural southern communities to address the increased rates risks of suicide that gay and transgender people experience. Rebecca is has a Masters Degree in Counseling and is a Nationally Certified Counselor. She specializes in working with LGBTQ people, people who have HIV, and those who have substance use/abuse issues. Rebecca unites communities through intentional listening, facilitating non-confrontational discussions, and pooling resources among key stake-holders. Rebecca has two children with her wife of 24 years. They enjoy reading to each other, playing games, hiking, and kite flying.
