In this age of mass migration, questions arise as to the nature of Jewish responsibility toward strangers. Should any and all be welcome in our midst? What may be expected of newcomers? Classic Judaic sources contend with such issues, with some promoting a universalist ethic and others a more protectionist stance. How far will you open your arms?
