
Rabbi Jennie Rosenn is the Founder and CEO of Dayenu: A Jewish Call to Climate Action which is preparing to launch this spring. Dayenu seeks to mobilize the American Jewish community to confront the climate crisis with spiritual audacity and bold political action.
As a senior executive with more than 25 years of leadership experience in non-profit organizations Jennie has built a reputation as a visionary leader, strategic thinker, and highly effective manager who has transformed organizations, created dynamic new initiatives, and led with an inspiring public voice, strong partnerships, and deep commitment to social justice.
Previously, Jennie served as Vice President for Community Engagement at HIAS. There she created and led a strategy and team to re-introduce the American Jewish community to HIAS, the 136-year-old Jewish refugee organization, and built from scratch a Jewish movement for refugees, engaging tens of thousands of Jews from the margins to the mainstream in responding effectively to the global refugee crisis.
Prior to HIAS, Jennie served for nearly a decade as the Director of the Jewish Life and Values Program at the Nathan Cummings Foundation, a multi-generational family foundation that seeks to advance social and economic justice. There she catalyzed significant field building and led the creation of several new initiatives such as the Jewish Social Justice Roundtable and Selah Leadership Training Program.
Prior to her work at the Nathan Cummings Foundation, Jennie served as Rabbi and Tzedek (social justice) Hillel Founder and Director at Columbia University.
Jennie received a Wexner Graduate Fellowship and twice has been named one of the Forward 50 Jews in America.
