Chester Holman III spent 28 years in prison for a crime he did not commit. When he was exonerated in July, the judge and district attorney apologized for the miscarriages of justice that led to his incarceration. What does it take to survive in prison and live with injustice for so long? What is it like to experience freedom and try to start life anew? Andrea Weiss will moderate a conversation between Chester, who has a lot of Torah to teach us, and his attorney, Alan Tauber, who will tell Chester’s heartbreaking story and discuss the importance of getting involved in criminal justice reform.
