Lisa
Armony is the director of the Rose Project of Jewish Federation & Family
Services, Orange County. Her work
focuses on creating Israel educational and educational programs for students
from diverse backgrounds on local college campuses, as well as for the greater
Orange County community. Prior to this,
she was a writer and reporter for numerous publications, specializing in issues
of prejudice and anti-Semitism, campus climate, and Jewish affairs. She served as Communications Director for the
Canadian Jewish Congress, Ontario Region, Media Affairs Officer for the Israeli
Consulate in Toronto, and Director of the Institute for International Affairs
at B’nai Brith Canada. She sits on the
boards of the UC Irvine Center for Jewish Studies, the Orange County Interfaith
Network, and is a member of, and community ambassador for, the Orange County
Hate Crimes Task Force. Lisa received a
BA in Government from Cornell University, graduating Magna cum Laude with
Distinction in All Subjects, and has an MA and an MPhil in Political Science
from Yale University. She also studied
at the Moshe Dayan Center for Middle East Studies at Tel Aviv University.
