In addition to his other rabbinical roles, Rabbi Saxe works closely with the Social Action and Youth Committees of the Temple. An important part of his social justice work is centered on building interfaith relationships with other congregations and acting with them on local issues. He is active in the Greater Washington Muslim Jewish Forum and has served on the Strategy Team for VOICE, an interfaith social justice group in Northern Virginia.
Rabbi Saxe is also an ordained cantor and a composer, and music is an important part of his work at the Temple. He often leads our alternative Friday evening and Saturday morning services once a month with guitar. Rabbi Saxe has also served on national committees for the Central Conference of American Rabbis (CCAR).
