
Jessica Greenbaum, a Brooklyn, NY-based writer, teacher and social worker, is the author of three books of poems, and the co-editor, with Rabbi Hara Person, of CCAR’s forthcoming poetry Haggadah. A recipient of awards from the National Endowment for the Arts and the Poetry Society of America, she teaches inside and outside academia including for Barnard College, Brooklyn Poets, and Footsteps, a service agency for people who have left ultra-Orthodoxy. Since 2016 she has been designing classes for NYC’s Central Synagogue, connecting the study of Jewish texts with the reading and writing of poetry, and also teaches in Brooklyn’s Congregation Beth Elohim. https://poemsincommunity.org/
