Since 2006, Michelle Boorstein has covered spirituality, religion and faith issues for The Washington Post, writing about everything from identity and law to politics, food and crime – all within the God beat. She was awarded first place in the Religion News Association’s excellence in religion coverage award in 2011, 2013, and 2017. In 2016-2017, she was a Harvard University Nieman Fellow, exploring how religious power works in America today and what are the country’s current religious tribes or groupings.
