This session will explore responsa and biblical commentary by Rabbi Haim David Halevi (1924-1998), the late Chief Sephardic Rabbi of Tel Aviv-Yaffo, on issues of "truth and deception" in Jewish tradition.

His writings will be considered against the backdrop of events in our contemporary world and culture, and will explore how Rabbi Halevi evaluates the value of "truth" when it conflicts with the desire for "peace."
