Moderated by Janet Liss and Arnold Gluck Over the years, the role of the Reform Movement in Israeli politics has shifted significantly. This session provides an update and a review of impacts, and prepares CCAR members for meeting with the Israeli-Diaspora Knesset Committee on Wednesday. This is a unique opportunity to share the concerns and priorities of the Diaspora community with Israel’s elected leadership.
Introduction by Michael Latz and Kinneret Shiryon March as a group along the streets of Jerusalem for religious tolerance in the State of Israel. The March will be from Dormition Abbey, the site of several recent "price-tag" attacks by Jewish extremist to Merkaz Shimshon in conjunction with IRAC and the Israeli Movement for Progressive Judaism.
Opening remarks will be given by Denise L. Eger, President, Central Conference of American Rabbis and a special welcome from Yehoyada Amir, Chairperson of MARAM - Israel Council of Reform Rabbis. Motzi: Yehoyada Amir Birkat HaMazon: Janet Liss, Scott Sperling and the Israel Convention Committee
