Aaron Curtis spent his childhood in the Rideau Lakes area of Eastern Ontario, primarily in Lanark, and Leeds & Grenville counties.

During the mid-2000s, Aaron attended the University of Calgary where he earned a degree in Archaeology (B.Sc.) and a minor in Earth Sciences. Upon graduation, Aaron spent 1.5 years teaching English in South Korea, and after returning to Canada, he attended the Ontario Institute of Studies in Education (University of Toronto) where he received his B. Ed., with specialization in Social Studies and Geography.

Aaron has been a teacher in the Upper Canada District School Board since 2009 and strongly believes in experiential learning, particularly with hands-on opportunities and reality-based scenarios.  Currently, Aaron develops educational resources and delivers in-person programming on behalf of Valour Canada, a Calgary-based non-profit that aims to educate Canadians, especially youth, about Canadian Military History.
