Carolyn Hatt has a passion for sharing music with elementary students and believes that music education is for everyone. She has taught music in schools in Newfoundland and Labrador, New Brunswick and Alberta. A native of Newfoundland, Carolyn holds a Bachelor of Music (voice) and Bachelor of Music Education from Memorial University, and a Master of Education in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of New Brunswick. She completed Orff Level I certification with the Nova Scotia Orff Chapter and now serves as the Secretary of Calgary Orff Chapter. Carolyn sings with the Calgary Philharmonic Chorus, and at home with her husband and their four-year-old! She is inspired by the way the Orff Schulwerk approach teaches through creative play and exploration and is always thankful for the opportunity to create music with her colleagues.
