Matthew is a Journeyman Carpenter and Construction teacher with the Calgary Board of Education. For 10 years, he has incorporated his extensive industry experience to inform his classroom instruction at both the high school and apprenticeship levels.

He is dedicated to using the curriculum to develop students' problem-solving abilities while building meaningful relationships in a safe, inclusive, and caring learning environment. His approach ensures that students not only gain technical skills but also grow into confident and capable individuals, regardless of their future aspirations.
