Implementing structured literacy in a diverse classroom can feel overwhelming. In this session, we will explore Tier 1 instruction in Grade 1-3 classrooms, offering a variety of options for engaging all students in high-impact literacy learning. We will demonstrate how to create differentiated learning stations and how to keep your students engaged as they navigate tasks designed to consolidate their learning. Stations will focus on word reading and spelling, reading fluency, games for mastery, and one for teacher-led small group instruction. Participants will have the opportunity to use the learning materials to experience stations in action and consider how they can be adapted to their specific classroom environments. Formative and summative assessments will be explored as a way to create groupings and drive instruction.
