Teachers who are well have the capacity to be great pedagogues and foster student achievement. However, current literature indicates that teachers are struggling and more effective and flexible supports are needed. While teachers engage in their own self-care, the education system - those at the administrator and school district levels - need to support teacher health as well. In this session, I will offer insights from my research with Alberta teachers regarding what is needed, as well as invite conversation regarding what works and does not work for teacher health with those who attend. The objective is to come out of this session with practical strategies that can support teacher wellness.
