Everything traces back to the brain! Dysregulation trumps learning! Your emotional state impairs your executive functioning! Perception is real, in the eyes of your nervous system! Wellbeing is linked to your internal state! In this presentation, you will learn what the state of a person’s nervous system means and how their nervous system state is evident in their external presentation, reactions, or behaviours. We will take an enlightening dive into understanding our nervous system’s state and realistically how to positively work with and impact it. Classroom challenges including the complexities of inclusion (ADHD, ASD, OCD, other), diverse learning profiles, and classroom sizes will be linked to neuro-state perspectives and strategies. In this presentation you will learn practical classroom and individual strategies that are informed by extensive neuroscience and classroom experience. Many times, small neuro-state strategy tweaks to your current practice can greatly increase the effectiveness and sustainability of strategies. This presentation will be highly interactive and stimulating…and neuro-state informed!
