This interactive workshop provides educators with tools to incorporate Bhangra, a traditional Punjabi folk dance, into a wide range of subject areas, fostering physical literacy, cultural understanding, and interdisciplinary learning. Bhangra’s rhythmic movements, cultural depth, and expressive potential make it adaptable for various disciplines, such as English, science, social studies, mathematics, physical education, and the arts, aligning with Alberta’s Program of Studies. Participants will leave with practical strategies, a deepened cultural appreciation, and a comprehensive lesson plan.
